Lunch at Tiffany’s

THE CLIENT

We have been longstanding supporters of Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School (BVGS) – a Sutton Coldfield-based secondary school that was recently ranked 33rd in the Sunday Times Parent Power league tables.

The school, which boasts a successful Corporate Partnership, often holds themed networking events throughout the year, allowing local businesses to meet and collaborate.

Our relationship with BVGS means we will often create press releases, brochures and other promotional material for upcoming events and wider news.

THE PROJECT

One of the most popular networking events held by the school is the Ladies Lunch, which this year followed a ‘Lunch at Tiffany’s’ theme.

During the event, guests were given the opportunity to browse a variety of stalls, before enjoying lunch, light entertainment and an auction towards the end of the day.

Given the popularity and size of the event, BVGS required a range of print and promotional materials to place around the venue, including brochures, programmes and company adverts for official sponsors.

THE WORK

With just under two weeks to deliver the project, we were engaged to create the following materials:

  • 8-page auction brochure
  • 20-page table programme
  • Event flyer
  • Place name cards
  • Raffle prize list
  • Room table plan
  • Table cards
  • Event tickets

For the Table Programme, our design team created original adverts for many of the sponsors, using their own initiative to deliver engaging adverts that captured the key messages and branding of each business.

Similarly, the entire Auction Brochure was designed from first principal, with our design team given the creative license to come up with their own concept.

This meant producing a range of print materials that captured the essence of the event, representing the specific ‘Lunch at Tiffany’s’ theme in a clear yet attractive way.

With very little brief given by the client, it gave our design team the opportunity to manage and oversee the entire creative process, delivering our own concepts without third party guidance or assistance.

THE RESULTS

All the print materials were well received by the client, who was especially pleased with the concepts and designs of the table programme and auction brochure.

As you can see from the images provided, all the materials followed a similar theme which gave the event a clear branding that was used to promote the event in the weeks leading up to it.

Both the programme and brochure were distributed to guests who attended the event, providing information on featured raffle prizes, the day’s itinerary and adverts for the different sponsors.

Other materials such as the table cards, place name cards and raffle prize list were available at the event, all consistently reflecting the ‘Lunch at Tiffany’s’ theme.

This was our second time supporting the Ladies Lunch event, and we’re excited to support similar events again in the future.
